The 2012 Twingo RenaultSport and Gordini official photos have been released by the French Automaker.

The Renault Twingo RS and Gordini high-performance models have been given a facelift for 2012 and today marks their official release. The RenaultSport-developed models are a "sporting interpretation of Renault's new styling identity." The RS features a bright Sirius Yellow exterior finish (the Gordini wears Gordini blue with white stripes) with a rear spoiler mounted to the tailgate and a rear bumper with integrated diffuser.

Aerodynamic wheel arches and a deeper front bumper complete with an "F1-style blade" distinguish the RS variant from its stock version. A sport chassis is also equipped as standard, while a Cup chassis is also available, lowering the RS by 4mm. The interiors of the pair both feature yellow stitching and gloss black inserts on the dash. The seat backs, front display and steering wheels all feature neatly contrasting white detailing. Powering the pair of RenaultSport models are the stock Twingo's 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine.

With outputs of 133hp and 118 lb-ft, the efficient engine returns a combined 43.5mpg while emitting 150g/km CO2. The latter two numbers represent three percent improvements over the engine's former setup. The 2012 Renault Twingo RS and Gordini models will be available for order on February 2012. Pricing for Twingo RS begins at €16,900 while the Gordini RS version costs €18,100.
