Renault's 2012 version of the Megane hot hatch has made its way online. The Megane 265 Cup and 265 both feature updates in terms of power and performance along with some menacing black and dark red looks. In terms of power, the 2012 Megane 265 packs an improved 15hp and 14 lb-ft of torque over last year's model for totals of 261hp and 266 lb-ft of torque.

Performance has been helped thanks to improvements in the turbo system for a 0-62mph sprint of 6.0 seconds flat and a top speed of 158mph, up by 0.1 second and 2mph, respectively. The RenaultSport Dynamic Management system allows drivers to switch between two power settings: default with 247hp and 251 lb-ft or sport with 261hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. The carbon gray interior features contrasting red stitching and red seatbelts. In addition to the black and red look seen here, an Arctic White finish will also be made available.

The 2012 RenaultSport Megane 265 Cup prices at £24,825 while the 265 starts at £26,025. The French automaker has made plenty of options available as well. The Red Design Pack runs £350 and features red striping with side skirts. RS's Cup chassis package runs £1,350 and contains an LSD, stiffer suspension, anti-roll bars, red brake calipers with dampers and a set of matte black 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Sport 2 rubbers. Addition safety technology also costs extra. Front and rear parking sensors complete with camera costs £360 and Renault's own Visio Lane departure warning system runs £300.
