2013 Ford Mondeo Sep, 28 2011 We knew that Ford was busy at work preparing their next generation Mondeo. And normally this would only be relevant for European buyers. However, as the automaker's 'One Ford' global plan continues to successfully develop, the Mondeo and Fusion will be merging into a single car. While the names won't be changed for marketing purposes, the overall design and mechanicals will be identical. And now, thanks to AutoExpress, they've created this rendering of what they think the final car will look like.

They've based their illustrations on various spy shots and have taken styling characteristics from the new Evos concept displayed at the Frankfurt Auto Show. As we can tell, the Mondeo/Fusion will have the large, trapezoidal grille from the Fiesta and Focus along with more narrow headlights. There are also more bulging rear wheel arches and a sleeker roofline. Again, these are not official photos, but they are an excellent interpretation of what the production car should look like. We'll know be receiving more details throughout the following months. Photos courtsey of AutoExpress
