AMG C63 Sedan

Florida-based tuning firm RENNtech has just released a wide-body conversion kit for the current Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. And although they didn't touch the already wonderful 6.3-liter V8, the tuner clearly decided to put all of their efforts in the styling direction. This DTM-inspired body kit was apparently already installed on to a Russian customer's C63 overseas, and according to the tuner's official press release, the car was transformed "into an aggressive, wide bodied missile."

Interesting way to put it, but we have overall mixed feelings about the end results. The kit undoubtedly has bold styling, and RENNtech claims the new rear diffuser with end tips and the front and rear wide body conversion kit give the car refined aerodynamics, increased downforce, and improved handling due to the increase in overall vehicle track width. Official pricing for the kit starts at $3,750. It's clear that something like this will appeal only to specific tastes, but we're of the conclusion the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG looks fine just the way it is, but to each their own.
