One of the most striking supercars ever built is looking for a new home.
There have been several special editions made of the Mercedes SLR McLaren, but the Stirling Moss Edition was the most dramatic of them all. With a speedster body coupled with no roof and no windshield, the special edition model is 440 pounds lighter than the stock SLR McLaren, while the 5.4-liter all-aluminum dry-sump supercharged V8 was upped from 617 to 640 horsepower. Only 75 SLR Stirling Moss Editions were built, priced at over $1 million each.
They were also only offered to those who already owned a stock SLR, so finding one for sale is very rare indeed. Renntech is currently offering this spectacular supercar, but is not revealing how much it wants for it. Interested parties should contact the firm directly. But don't think about it too much, as this rare beauty will find a buyer in no time.
