Jaguar has just announced that they'll be unveiling the convertible version of the XKR-S next week at the L.A. Auto Show. It's powered by the same engine as its coupe sibling, a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 with 542hp and502 lb-ft of torque. The coupe can go from 0 to 60mph in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 186mph. The convertible will have similar performance numbers, but not identical. Jaguar hasn't confirmed anything yet, but we do know the high-performance drop-top will have similar styling to the Coupe.

It'll also likely cost more too. Jaguar will also be displaying their C-X16 production concept for American audiences at L.A. It's powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with 375hp along with a 94hp hybrid drivetrain. We also doubt that C-X16 will be the final name for the production version because we've also recently learned that Jaguar has registered the C-XE name.
