MW X1 sDrive20d Efficient Dynamics Edition Jul, 02 2011 BMW's wordy X1 sDrive20d Efficient Dynamics Edition was officially unveiled on Monday. The X1 ED will feature a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine putting out 161hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The engine is equipped with a start/stop system, brake energy regeneration, electric power steering and aerodynamic light-alloy wheels. The X1 ED has impressive 4.5L/100km average fuel consumption and puts out CO2 emissions of only 119g/km.

BMW also announced that in fall 2011, a new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline-powered version of the TwinPower Turbo engine will be available for the X1. The engine will receive a slight boost, with outputs of 184hp and 199lb-ft of torque while keeping huge reductions in CO2 emissions, expected to be around 170 g/km. It's safe to say the X1 was designed for the eco-minded driver. No official pricing details have been released.
