According to recent reports, Jaguar is seriously considering to up its high-performance lineup even further. Due to the success of the XKR-S coupe that was revealed at this year's Geneva Motor Show, the automaker would now like to transfer this powerplant into the XF sedan and XK convertible. The 5.0-liter V8, which has 542hp and 501 lb-ft of torque, could work in the convertible due to the car's aluminum structure.

It doesn't require additional bracing, resulting it no additional weight over the coupe. It would look identical to the coupe with the exception of the soft top. No word yet on an official launch date, but we may know more as we get closer to the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
