According to a recent report from Car&Driver, Volkswagen will not be producing their new compact coupe concept ie. the Jetta Coupe. Straight form the Frankfurt International Auto Show, Volkswagen has told the mag that capacity constraints at the German company's plant in Mexico are so tight that it won't be possible to produce the coupe. Volkswagen has also said that they will unveil their Jetta Hybrid and Beetle convertible in January at the North American Auto Show in Detroit.

Following the Touareg, the ultra-efficient Jetta Hybrid is expected to run on a turbocharged 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine along with a lithium-ion battery.
