Vauxhall has just released official pictures of their new Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition that's set to go on sale in the UK this May. It's powered by a turbocharged version of the 1.6-liter found in the regular Corsa VXR. By upgrading the ECU software as well, engineers were able to create a total output of 202 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. The standard Corsa produces 189 hp and 196 lb-ft of torque.
In order to avoid excessive torque steering, Vauxhall has fitted a limited slip differential to the front axle. The car has also been lowered by 20mm at the front and 15mm at the rear. Top speed is reported to be 143 mph and includes Brembo brakes that weigh less than a third of the standard ones. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and pricing is set at £22,295, which is roughly $36,715 according to current exchange rates.
