It was over a year ago that California-based manufacturer Rezvani Motors unveiled its new Tank 4x4, confirming its position as a maker of some of the most extreme SUVs on the planet. But why stick with a lowly 4x4 if you can have a 6x6? Back in June, Rezvani teased its six-wheeled off-roader appropriately called the Hercules 6x6.

In a new teaser on Instagram, we get another close-up shot of three of the six wheels, although it doesn't show us much more than it did before. Rezvani did, however, claim that this would be "the most powerful 6-wheeled truck on earth." Yes, this hardcore off-roader will be a truck.

In the latest teaser, we can just about see a truck bed that wasn't previously visible, with the Hercules parked in what looks like desert terrain. Besides the extra pair of wheels, this would clearly distinguish the Hercules from the Tank SUV. This would see the Hercules go up against the Hennessey Mammoth 6x6, a monster truck that is based on the Ram 1500 TRX.

Considering that the Mammoth has 1,200 horsepower at its disposal, the Hercules will have to beat that number to support Rezvani's claim that it'll be more powerful than any other six-wheeled truck. While the Tank was based on the Jeep Wrangler, it's possible that the starting point for the Hercules is the Gladiator pickup.

Engine options for the Hercules are unknown at this point, although the range-topping Tank already employs a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine from the Dodge Challenge SRT Demon that has been tuned to generate in excess of 1,000 horses. The Hercules should also use many of the Tank's military-like styling details, but it's not all for show - the Tank provides protection against electromagnetic pulses, bulletproof glass, and FLIR Thermal Night Vision.

With the Tank beginning at over $150,000, the Hercules is expected to be an even pricier proposition. We'll know more when the 6x6 mega pickup is unveiled sometime over the next few weeks.
