Rhys Millen Drifts the Hyundai Genesis Coupe Drift Car at Long Beach

Drifting

Hyundai share highlights of the first round of 2012 Formula DRIFT schedule, staring drifting sensation Rhys ‘Mad Skilz’ Millen.

The Streets of Long Beach race was the first of the 2012 Formula DRIFT schedule, and former Hollywood stunt driver Rhys 'Mad Skilz' Millen was there in the all-new 2013 Genesis Coupe Drift Car.

This particular model uses a turbocharged version of the 3.8-liter V6, which has been bored out to 4.1 liters and tweaked to produce an astonishing 650hp and 650lb-ft of torque. Other mechanical upgrades include Brembo brakes, Enkei alloys and a KW Coilovers suspension. Hyundai and Rhys Millen Racing are currently sixth in the championship and are still looking for their first podium finish. They'll be competing across the states and hopefully Hyundai will release more of these awesome videos highlighting the best of the action.
