British brands Bentley and Rolls-Royce aren't fully British anymore. True, manufacturing for both takes place in the UK, but each of their parent companies, let's call them Volkswagen and BMW, respectively, are German. Fortunately though, zee Germans have done an excellent job of making sure the two historic brands look and feel British. That's cool and all but it's German engineering and management that saved them both. It's that simple.

And a pair of outstanding examples of such are the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur and the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Just how crazy expensive are they? How about a $40,000 paint job. Yes, one car's paint alone costs more than a new Mustang. And for the record, we'll gladly drive home either one.
