Swedish extreme skier Jon Olsson has a new reason to smile in this video thanks to German tuner Abt
Swedish freeskier and all-around madman Jon Olsson is a happy man this week as he's just taken delivery of a brand-new Audi RS6+ that's been cranked up to 705 horsepower by German tuner Abt. Olsson calls his latest automotive project "Phoenix," after his previous Audi RS6 DTM was stolen and burnt to its bare chassis. As the name implies, this new RS6+ has risen from the ashes of the old car-and it's left Olsson wanting for absolutely nothing. Over 700 hp will do that.
In a video posted to Olsson's YouTube channel, the Swede takes delivery of the Audi in a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde black-and-white paint scheme with its two sides separated by a red pinstripe. To truly appreciate the maniacal wagon, you need to watch the video and listen to its magnificent exhaust overrun. No wonder Olsson is grinning the entire time.
"Ever since the RS6 DTM was burnt to the ground I knew I had to build a new one," Ollson said in an Instragram post revealing the dark side of the new car. "I just wish I would have done it sooner! Absolutely in LOVE with this car!" The car was built by Audi specialist tuner Abt. Based on Olsson's vlog, the idea came about after the skier attended a Formula E race, a series in which Abt competes, and got to chatting about a new car with Daniel Abt. Can you think of a meaner wagon than this twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 monster? We can't. Check out all the photos of this new long-roofed wonder and its very unique wheels below.
