Peugeot is offering a fan the chance to be in the passenger seat when the stunning Onyx Concept makes it Goodwood Festival of Speed debut.
To celebrate the Peugeot Onyx Concept's maiden outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, one lucky punter has the chance to ride shotgun in the diesel hybrid supercar. The automotive spectacle takes place over the weekend of July 13-14 and if you think you can make it, head to Peugeot's website and enter the free competition that includes two tickets for Saturday. Unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the stunning concept is powered by a 600hp 3.7-liter twin-turbo diesel V8 and 80hp electric motor sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential box.
The striking exterior sports a matte black carbon-fiber body, and wings and doors hand-fashioned from a single sheet of pure copper polished to a mirror finish and left unprotected enabling it to patina over time. Inside, the winner will be cradled in a one-piece carbon-fiber tub out of which the seats are formed and look out over the dash constructed entirely of newspaper wood. The roof panel houses a console with toggle switches including the engine start, while a screen displays feeds from three rearview cameras. If that's not enough then the blown crystal reservoir in the center console releasing a special supercar fragrance should help make this a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
