We never thought we'd see the day when an EV would out-drag a Ferrari. But these days Ferrari is making hybrid supercars, so anything is possible. This impromptu drag race doesn't involve a Nissan Leaf or Mitsubishi i-MiEV, of course, but the Rimac Concept_One. The Croatian electric supercar packs over a thousand horsepower and even more torque, available instantly at all four wheels, to hit 62 in 2.8 seconds. But it wasn't facing off against an old Mondial, either.

The short acceleration run involved a Ferrari 458 Spider, one of Maranello's most devastating roadsters to date, with a 562hp V8 driving it to 62 in 3.4 seconds.
