A few days ago we received intel that the online configurator for the Rivian R1T and R1S will go live on November 16 for those who've already placed a $1,000 deposit. That date has now been confirmed as has the official pricing for both all-electric off-road vehicles.

The 2021 Rivian R1T Launch Edition will begin at $75,000 with deliveries to start in July 2021 while the R1S Launch Edition will kick off at $77,500 and reach customers' driveways in August 2021. Those who haven't placed a deposit will be able to begin placing online orders a week later on November 23.

The Launch Editions will be feature-packed, including a powered tonneau cover, natural-grained ash wood interior trim, perforated vegan leather seating, heated and ventilated seats, premium audio system, unique badging, reinforced underbody shield, dual front bumper tow hooks, an air compressor, and 20-inch all-terrain or 22-inch sport wheel upgrades.

Regardless of trim choice, all R1T and R1S trims come standard with Driver+ semi-autonomous capability for hands-free driving and a 300+ mile range thanks to a large battery pack. Meanwhile, the rest of the R1T and R1S lineup also receives pricing, though neither cost much less than the Launch Editions.

The "base" Explore trim starts at $67,500 and $70,000 for the R1T and R1S, respectively. Deliveries will begin in January 2022 and some standard equipment includes a manual tonneau cover, surround sound, vegan leather seating, heated seats, driver lumbar adjustment, and fully recycled textile floor mats.

The mid-range Adventure R1S and R1T, starting from $75,000 and $77,500, have nearly all of the same features as the Launch Editions, save for the 'LE' badging, and will reach buyers in January 2022.

In addition to pricing, Rivian confirmed some performance specs, such as a 0-60 mph time of 3 seconds flat and towing capacity up to 11,000 pounds. In January 2022, 400-mile variants will arrive, as will a less expensive 250-mile battery pack. Pricing for both will be announced in due course.
