Wraith

Rolls-Royce has announced a brand-new model that will sit atop its ultra-luxury car line-up as the most powerful Roller in history. The Wraith will be "the most powerful Rolls-Royce that has ever played host to the famous Spirit of Ecstasy figurine," said the carmaker upon releasing just a single image of said figurine with the press release. Details are equally scarce, with Rolls-Royce simply claiming the Wraith will have "the boldest design and the most dramatic performance," resetting the benchmark of the ultra-luxury segment.

Evoking the famous moniker of the 1938 Wraith, which featured a 4.3-liter inline-six good for around 30 horsepower and an 85 mph top speed, the brand-new car will be a far more capable machine. In fact, we expect the Wraith to improve upon the Ghost's 563 hp from its 6.6-liter turbocharged V12, and deliver in excess of 600 hp using the same unit. As we get closer to the Geneva Motor Show we'll be drip-fed information about the new Wraith, which could well be the Ghost Coupe that was recently spied at the Nurburgring.
