Placing an order for a new Rolls-Royce is unlike most other car buying experiences. There's a seemingly endless amount of customization opportunities. Needless to say, the artisans tasked with making a customer's dream Rolls-Royce a reality are some of the best in the business. One recent Rolls-Royce Phantom customer, who just took delivery, so was impressed with the bespoke craftsmanship he wanted to thank the people who built his car. What did he do for them? He presented them with a massive cake in the shape and color of his new car.

It was his way of personally thanking them for their brilliant skills, stating "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the hard working people; the unsung heroes who are responsible for these mobile works of art." Deliveries of the all-new 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom only began this past January. Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce, added that "We thank our patron for this extraordinary gesture, which was warmly welcomed by everyone at the Home of Rolls-Royce. It is not unusual for our patrons to thank the men and women in the Rolls-Royce family who are responsible for building their motor cars, but this is the first time that one has asked to express their thanks in this way."

This talented crew of craftspeople will be kept very busy throughout the year as Rolls-Royce claims there's plenty more Phantom orders to fulfill. In the not too distant future, anxious buyers will also begin to take delivery of the new Cullinan, the marque's first-ever SUV.
