In what will be remembered as one of its finest years since it was founded, Rolls- Royce has confirmed that 2014 will mark a record-breaking 4,000 new car sales throughout the world. This may not sound like much, but as recently as 2009, the company's numbers were 1,002 for the year. According to estimates, the BMW-owned luxury automaker will also see a profit of 500 million pounds this year. And while these numbers may already be impressive, it looks like the future could be even brighter.

With the next Phantom expected soon, an SUV on the horizon and several hybrid models on the way, it seems that Rolls is on track to increasing its global sales even farther. BMW isn't about to allow Volkswagen have all of the fun, not to mention the profits, with rival brand Bentley.
