Roush Performance has released its supercharger kit for V8-powered 2021-2023 Ford F-150 pickup trucks, bringing total output to an impressive 705 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque. Those figures represent increases of 305 hp and 225 lb-ft over stock. More importantly, you get to give owners of the performance-enhanced F-150 Raptor R something to think about when they meet you at the lights and hear that your V8 is supercharged too.

Central to the kit is obviously the supercharger, which in this case is a Roush Performance TVS R2650 2.65-liter Roots-type positive-displacement supercharger with four-lobe rotors twisted at 170 degrees. This features larger bearings and thicker timing gears for increased durability.

To keep temperatures stable, a custom aluminum intercooler is paired with a high-capacity coolant reservoir, while a 107% larger radiator doubles the cooling capacity of previous Roush low-temp radiators. A Roush-developed billet aluminum viscous crankshaft damper helps keep the engine reliable, as do specially developed spark plugs that prevent knock and detonation. Although the kit is optimized for 93-octane gas, 91-octane fuel will also work without impeding all factory driving modes.

Roush says that all of these components have been tested thoroughly, enduring more than 900 hours of engine dyno time, as well as development drives in hot weather and cold chamber validation to confirm that the cold-start procedure is unaffected.

The kit costs $8,649.99 and includes all the hardware you need to install it. You also get an in-house three-year/36,000-mile limited powertrain warranty when the kit is installed by a Ford dealer or a certified Automotive Service Excellence technician.

That covers the performance side, but if you'd like to spend even more, Roush offers a comprehensive range of aftermarket aesthetic upgrades. The tuner recently added to its offering by releasing a performance exhaust and a coilover suspension kit too, so you can cover every aspect of upgrading your F-150 in one place.

With these enhancements, F-150 owners can toy with owners of stock Raptor R trucks. But if the Raptor R is modified, that's a whole different story.
