It's kind of a big deal whenever a McLaren F1 comes up for sale, considering just 106 examples were built. Only 72 are street legal. But it's really a special thing when said F1 is being sold by someone famous. That person right now is Rowan Atkinson of Mr. Bean fame. The actor purchased his McLaren F1 brand new back in 1997 and now he's decided to put it up for sale for £8 million. Atkinson originally paid £540,000 for it.

However, he never intended to buy it as an investment, explaining to the UK's Daily Telegraph that he "bought it for the quality of the thinking that went into its design, and now it has become a thing of value, it is time for it to be enjoyed by someone else." Atkinson got into a serious accident with the car back in 2011, resulting in a repair bill of around $1 million. The car spent two years at McLaren being fixed, and the insurance payout was said to be the largest (in the UK) for a single vehicle accident. It was also involved in a 2009 crash when Atkinson rear-ended someone, although the damage was significantly less. It has a total of 41,000 miles, a fairly high number considering its rarity.
