Rumor: Aston Martin Considering Cygnet EV

Environment

We're sure everyone is just going to love this. Word is that Aston Martin is developing an all-electric version for their new compact, the Cygnet. Based on the nearly identically (and significantly cheaper) Toyota iQ, the Cygnet is the automaker's attempt to reduce its corporate average fuel economy and emissions. As with the standard Cygnet, the EV version will very likely be just another rebadged version of the iQ EV.

So why make an EV out of an already embarrassing sight? Simple, to lower said fuel economy and emissions even more. Yeah, we know. Dry those tears.
