Lamborghini plans on debuting a super sports car for the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show next month.
"Lamborghini. Racing Towards Frankfurt." So says the invitation for Lamborghini's press conference for this year's Frankfurt Auto Show. We are thinking this is alluding to their super sports car, the Sesto Elemento concept car which debuted at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. The 560hp Sesto Elemento was built strictly for racing purposes, so any model that could be street legal would have to be reworked.
The Sesto Elemento has a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces an output of 570hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. The Sesto Elemento can fly from 0-62 mph in an incredible time of 2.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 186 mph. It also weighs in at at a light 2,190lbs thanks to a new material dubbed 'forged carbon'. The Sesto Elemento production model is expected to cost a hefty $2.9 million and be limited to 20 copies.
