Having unveiled its 2015 C-Class at the DetroitAuto Show, Mercedes is moving on to faster and more powerful versions, namely its C63 AMG variant. We've already shown you the sedan out for testing in December, but now Autocar is reporting that the 4-door will soon bejoined by a coupe, wagon and even convertible. Mercedes-Benz officialsdeclined to comment on these rumors, but they've been pretty clear that acoupe should be expected in the next couple of years.
The upcoming C63 is set to be powered by a brand-newtwin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. While we know that this engine will produce upwards of 450horsepower, some rumors say it have it rated at as much as 493 hp. The C63 AMG sedan islikely to appear at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show next month, and we expectMercedes to be dropping further hints regarding the rest of the family around thattime. With the new BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe already out and awaiting the M4convertible, Mercedes should be hard at work on its own full-range offering.
