Russia's Giant Lamborghini Gallardo Sculpture Catches Fire

Accident

Is this a case of art imitating life?

Over summer we learned that a massive sculpture of a Lamborghini Gallardo was being built in Russia. Perhaps it wasn’t such a good idea to build a statue of a supercar known for occasionally catching fire. In an ironic case of art imitating life the statue reportedly caught fire. GTSpirit says the fire was quickly contained and that the statue was saved from complete destruction. Police are said to be considering arson. That sounds logical as whoever is behind this statue probably wants their cash back.

Here’s a video showing smoke—but no flames—coming from the statue. If you have any more info on this story please shoot us a line at media@carbuzz.com.
