What could turn out to be one of the best-looking Mercedes-Benz models in years will soon hit a dealership near you. And it will be insanely expensive because, after all, it is the upcoming S-Class Coupe. If you recall, the automaker revealed the S-Class Coupe Concept at Frankfurt last September and it was a show-stopper, arguably one of the sexiest-looking Mercedes designs in a very long time. It won universal praise from both the press and public.

Fortunately, that concept looked at least 95 percent production ready and based on these recent spy shots, it looks as though the production version is entering the final stages of development. Compared to spy shots we received last May, this latest set shows the test mule with a lot less camouflage as it undergoes winter testing in Sweden. It will replace the CL-Class when it goes on sale in the near future, and don't be surprised to see the production car unveiled this March at Geneva.
