You may not have realized it, but renowned Mustang tuner Saleen Automotive turns 35 years old this year. To commemorate this special anniversary, the company has unveiled a new limited-edition Mustang called the SA 35. Showcased as a prototype at Saleen's Open House at the company's headquarters in Southern California, the car is based on the 2019 Black Label Mustang and features a distinctive exterior finished in Saleen Racing Heritage colors of black, white and yellow.

The car is also equipped with a ram air hood, a new front bumper, and a small rear wing. Other exterior changes include custom 35th-anniversary fenders, a sports exhaust system and mono-block forged aluminum wheels wrapped in General G-Max tires.

Inside, the 35th Anniversary Edition Saleen Mustang features a custom interior with special badging. Images show the cabin equipped with black leather seats featuring white contrast stitching and a yellow stripe down the center echoing the exterior color scheme. There also appears to be special floor mats and a revised infotainment system with a Saleen splash screen.

Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V8 engine been equipped with a supercharger that produces 780 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. To help the car cope with this extra muscle, Saleen has installed a Racecraft R Code suspension. "We were extremely proud to introduce the SA 35 to our friends, family and enthusiasts. It celebrates and validates the continuing success and longevity of the Saleen brand," said company founder Steven Saleen.

Pricing details haven't been announced, but production of the 35th Anniversary Saleen Mustang will be limited to just ten units.
