When you're related to The Rock, expect something BIG for Christmas.
Dwayne Johnson, aka 'The Rock,' recently starred in 'Hobbs & Shaw,' the first-ever Fast & Furious spin-off movie, alongside Jason Statham. In the Fast & Furious movies, The Rock plays agent Luke Hobbs and is usually seen driving large vehicles to complement his muscular physique such as SUVs and pickup trucks.
In real life, Dwayne Johnson is a passionate gearhead and owns an incredible collection of cars, ranging from a custom Ford F-150 and a Rolls-Royce Wraith to a Pagani Huayra and a Ferrari LaFerrari. He's also a genuinely nice guy and loves to share his passion for cars with his family. For Christmas this year, The Rock decided to give his sister-in-law a very special automotive gift: the keys to a brand-new Cadillac Escalade.
Dwayne Johnson shared the moment in a video on Instagram, presenting his sister-in-law with the Escalade wrapped in red ribbon.
"This Christmas surprise felt good. Merry Christmas to my sister in law, @aja_elan for simply being the most loving, supportive and coolest human we could ever ask for. From day 1," Johnson wrote on Instagram. "Enjoy your new ride with good mana and love. Merry Christmas! We're grateful and we love you sis." In the US, the Cadillac Escalade starts at $75,195.
It will soon be replaced by an all-new model, which will be unveiled on February 4 at a special event in Beverly Hills, California. Leaked photos have shown the new design will be inspired by the Chevrolet Tahoe, while the new fascia and grille will match the XT6and new CT5. Last year, The Rock also gifted his cousin and longtime stunt double Tanoai Reed a custom Ford F-150.
Sadly, The Rock won't be returning to 'Fast & Furious 9' next year. Taking his place will be John Cena in an unknown role. However, 'Hobbs & Shaw' was a box office success, so it's probably only a matter of time before a sequel gets the green light.
