It goes live a Pebble Beach with an army of other Huayras.
Believe it or not, it's been ten years since the Pagani Huayra was unleashed as a successor to the insanity that was the Zonda. Since its debut, the Huayra family has expanded with new variants from the Huayra Roadster BC to the hardcore Huayra R track monster. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Pagani revealed another new variant: the Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta. Developed for the Huayra BC, the Pacchetto Tempesta package unleashes the full potential of Pagani's hypercar with an 8% power increase.
With the Pacchetto Tempesta package installed, the Huayra BC's AMG-sourced 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V12 engine now generates a colossal 827 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque. That's only 12 hp less than the track-only Huyara R.
As well as bumping up the power, the Pacchetto Tempesta package adds a slew of aero enhancements including a new front splitter, a new air intake, and a new rear wing with an integrated central fin. Pagani also fitted a new exhaust system with six tailipipes and the suspension has been tweaked for a more comfortable ride in conjunction with a new Soft Driving Mode. It gets special new tires from Pirelli, who's had a relationship with Pagani for years.
"Passion and the continuous desire to go beyond our limits are some of the values that Pagani and Pirelli have shared for over 10 years in one of the most fruitful partnerships in the automotive world," said Pietro Berardi, CEO of Pagani's North American market.
"Over the last years with Pagani we have implemented several research and development projects, not just focused on maximum performance but also quality and safety standards - from the first record beaten in 2010 with a Pagani Zonda R on Pirelli P Zero at the Nurburgring to the use of Formula 1 modeling to develop the P Zero Trofeo R tires for the new Pacchetto Tempesta for the Huayra BC," said Berardi.
Pagani hasn't announced pricing or availability, but we should find out more when the Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta debuts at The Quail, a motorsports gathering during Monterey Car Week on August 13th. Joining it will be one of the 40 Huayra Roadster BCs that rolled off the production line.
Key components from the Huayra R will also be displayed at the event including the car's naturally aspirated V12, six-speed sequential gearbox, and lightweight monocoque chassis. After the Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta's debut, the anniversary celebrations will join a parade of every Huayra variant at Laguna Seca during the Monterey Rolex Motorsports event on August 14th.
