The Ram 1500 TRX is already an epic truck, but fans of the Hellcat-powered pickup are craving even more. As Ram aims to meet these demands, it has enlisted the services of Head Hoonigan in Charge, Ken Block. The showstopping wheelman yesterday teased a new Ram truck on social media, and now that truck has been revealed as the TRX Sandblast Edition.

Before you get too excited, this isn't an altogether new truck. Instead, this 2022 special edition offers "an even wider selection of exterior and interior appointments and content," says Ram. So what exactly is on offer? Let's dive in and find out.

This special edition expands upon the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group and features a unique Mojave Sand exterior and special graphics, as well as unique 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a spray-in bed liner, cargo tie-downs, a bed step, and an LED cab-mounted brake light.

Inside the truck, you'll find Light Frost accent stitching, an embroidered TRX logo on the seatbacks, unique accents in carbon fiber, a leather-and-carbon-clad flat-bottomed steering wheel, a unique center console badge, a head-up display, and "a driver's screen that features TRX in Mojave Sand." Safety enhancements include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and pedestrian emergency braking.

What about the powertrain? As this is little more than an appearance package, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 under the hood is unchanged, meaning you get 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. As for pricing, Ram tells us that the suggested retail price starts at $98,285 and excludes a $1,795 destination charge.

For reference, the regular 2022 Ram 1500 TRX starts at $77,780, assuming you can find a dealer that will sell you one at that price. In terms of when the Sandblast Edition will be available, the local launch is scheduled for this summer.
