Brand new or 25-year-old special import?
Ok, so this is a comparison test unlike any other we’ve seen before. A few months back, Jalopnik scribe Doug DeMuro bought and imported to the US a 1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R R32. The total cost of doing so came to a bit under $25,000. Not a bad figure. In fact, many Japanese sports car enthusiasts may now be considering this option. But another choice could be, obviously, to go with something newer: the similarly priced Scion FR-S, or its Subaru BRZ sibling.
Clearly there are pitfalls to owning an older car of any type, but still, this an R-32 Skyline we’re talking about here. What conclusion did DeMuro come to? Check out his comparison and "drag race" video ahead.
