At this week's 2012 Worthersee Tour in Austria SEAT will have two race-spec models on display. First up is the new Ibiza SC Trophy based on the refreshed supermini, which features a 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI gasoline engine that's good for 178hp. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch DSG transmission and locking differential. Other modifications include protection plates under the engine bay, a race-spec suspension, more powerful brakes and 18-inch alloys.
Inside there's a roll cage, bucket seats and a race-spec digital instrument panel. Priced at €31,500, the SC Trophy is an amateur racer's ideal starter car. SEAT's second offering is the 155mph Leon Supercopa, which is aimed at professional racers. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot from the production Leon Cupra R produces 296hp and is linked to a six-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission that drives the front wheels via a limited slip differential. The five-door Leon Supercopa comes with standard race car goodies such as body-hugging bucket seats, a full roll cage and removable steering wheel. Prices start at €63,000.
