This is very good news.
It was only a few days ago that we reported that Infiniti is pretty darn close to giving the production green light for the Q50 Eau Rouge. Although it's still only officially a prototype, the automaker's desire to make it is more evident than ever. How so? Its Director of Performance (that's really his title), four-time Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel, has been test driving the BMW M5-killing super sport sedan at the Millbrook Proving Ground in the UK.
Remember, this thing is powered by the GT-R's 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 that has an output of 568 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. If Vettel is now behind the wheel, then that's a very good thing indeed. What's more is that Infiniti plans to make an announcement about the Eau Rouge later this month at the Beijing Auto Show. Hopefully that could only mean one thing.
