Step inside. Have a seat. Make yourself comfortable.
The Bentley Continental GT Convertible. It’s bold. It’s luxurious. It’s insanely powerful and expensive. We absolutely love it and now we've unboxed it inside and out. This is not any ordinary grand tourer. A massive twin-turbo W12 engine with 582 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque is not normal, and that’s a very a good thing. With power being sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic, the Continental GT Convertible is actually very easy and fun to drive.
It pampers passengers with an array of features, such as the eight-inch touchscreen, multi-zone climate control and an abundance of soft, supple leather and gorgeous wood veneer trim. The Breitling clock is also a lovely touch.
The hand-crafted interior is a tribute to the art of coachbuilding, which is sadly becoming less and less common. But why should anyone in the market for an open top grand tourer (and has the required bank account) opt for this Bentley over, say, the Ferrari California T or the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante? That’s what we wanted to find out when we got behind the wheel of this $253,790 convertible? Check out our latest unboxing video on the CarBuzz - Unboxing Everyday Cars and Supercars YouTube channel and see for yourself why the 2016 Bentley Continental GT Convertible is so wonderfully awesome. Special thanks to Los Gatos Luxury Cars in Los Gatos, California, for letting us shoot its Bentley.
