When presented at last year's SEMA event, the Super20 marked 20 years of the Mazda MX-5 in the U.S. This year it has been given a modest sprucing and a tougher look, with the most notable change coming in the form of a stationery glossy-black hardtop replacing the standard soft-top. The new variant has been designed from the ground up and its aggressive new wasp-like exterior replacing last years' grey paintjob is supposedly backed up with a more aggressive drive.

The Hyper Orange Mica with black accents may be new but the 16-inch Enkei twin-spoke racing wheels remain. The roll bar has been color-matched with the exterior and contrasts well with the black leather seats featuring suede seat inserts. Performance modifications on the new Super20 include a DPTune reflashed ECU, a stainless steel header and exhaust, street performance brake pads, and a hollow front & anti-roll bars by Racing Beat. Overall a smart upgrade to a celebratory vehicle.
