Holy Sweet Jesus.

2015 is quickly shaping up to be the year of Mustang awesomeness. New Chevy Camaro, we're waiting for your turn. Until then, Shelby American has just released official details and photos of its new GT350R nut cruncher. Presenting the 2015 Shelby GT. It's based off the familiar Ford Mustang GT, only it's been given a host of modifications that'd make Carroll Shelby a very proud man. First up is a carbon fiber body kit that encompasses a front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. Add to that a ventilated carbon fiber hood, mirror caps and rear spoiler.

Exterior styling upgrades include a unique grille, body stripes and badging, a fake gas cap, and 20-inch wheels. Step inside and you'll find embroidered head rests, carbon fiber trim and a dash plaque. "Shelby GT" door sill plates are also new. Power, of course, comes from the familiar 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that's now been equipped with a Ford Racing supercharging and sport exhaust system. Total output is now 627 horsepower. The also newly revealed GT350R has somewhere above 500 hp, but Ford has yet to reveal official numbers. 627 hp still not good enough? No worries, just add the optional performance package for an increase to 700 hp.

Other notable upgrades include Ford Racing half-shafts, Ford Racing handling pack, and a short-throw shifter for manual-equipped models. Sound wonderful? It is, and for an additional $39,995 over the price of the donor Mustang GT it can be all yours.
