Sometimes going for the stock Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 or Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 simply isn't enough. When that's the case, there's really only one place to turn: Shelby American. The Las Vegas-based company is still busy tuning and churning out more power from these already highly capable muscle cars, but some of their vehicles are more special than others.

Introducing the Carroll Shelby Signature Editions of the Shelby GT500, Shelby GT350, and Shelby GT350R. All three receive the "SE" Signature Edition moniker in their names, so call them GT500SE and so forth. Starting with the GT500SE, the company begins with its supercharged 5.2-liter V8 and ups the output from 760 hp to over 800 ponies. This was done thanks to a new supercharger pulley and, not surprisingly, 93-octane fuel is required to attain maximum power.

Other improvements include a new high-volume intercooler and heat exchanger, a vented carbon fiber hood, and numerous suspension upgrades such as more aggressive springs, front and rear sway bars, and caster camber plates. A set of forged aluminum wheels comes standard with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, but Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber is optional. The rear seat has also been removed and a harness bar installed.

The exterior is finished off with a widebody kit and stripes. There are plenty of special badges scattered inside and out. Production is limited to just 100 examples.

The GT350 and R Mustangs (the R is pictured below in red), don't receive any additional power, but the GT350SE does have some suspension improvements similar to those on the GT500SE. The exterior also has plenty of Shelby badges while the interior boasts new leather seat covers. Again, just 100 examples are planned from each model year going back to 2015, the year when the GT350s launched.

Not surprisingly, these kits aren't cheap. The Shelby GT500SE will set you back $29,995 in addition to buying the car itself. The GT350SE kit is a more reasonable $9,995. Given their limited availability, it's best to act fast if you want one.
