Along with the base Mustang, the Shelby GT500 receives significant upgrades for 2011. Beginning with some fresh styling in the front and rear, the big news this year is the engine. And like the base models, the GT500 is the best it's ever been. For starters, it receives an all-new 5.4 liter aluminum engine which is 102 pounds lighter than last year's. Because of this power enhancement, horsepower is now rated at a whopping 550. For comparison, the Mustang GT has 412 horsepower.

Other enhancements include the overall stance of the car has been lowered slightly at both ends. A SVT Performance Package is also an option along with an optional glass top roof.
