Shelby GT500 Super Snake is 850 HP of Awesomeness

Muscle Car

Because there's no such thing as too much horsepower.

850 horsepower. For most cars that's just insane, but when you’re talking about a Shelby GT500 it makes a lot more sense. And this ain’t no regular GT500 either – it’s the GT500 Super Snake. And for about $95,000 it can be all yours. Now, some may be wondering why the "standard" GT500’s 662 hp isn’t good enough for some. The answer is there are people out there who feel there’s no such thing as too much power. The bottom line: when more can be had, then go for it, hence the Super Snake courtesy of the folks at Shelby American.

Does all of that power interfere with how the car drives? Is handling compromised in any way? Motor Trend’s Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel to answer these, and other, questions.
