Shelby American recently revealed its latest project, and thanks to Mustangs Daily we have all the details. The 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake will be showcased at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas at the end of the month. Starting with a stock Shelby GT500, buyers will get the choice of Satin Black or Gloss White stripes (with a limited number of base colors decked out in silver and blue stripes) and wheels in Satin Black or Bright Silver Metallic. But what makes the Super Snake special goes far beyond stripes and rims.

The basic package is equipped with a supercharged 5.8-liter V8 good for 663 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of torque, but Shelby is also offering a supercharger kit to boost output up to a ludicrous 850 horses. Distinguishing features of the basic Super Snake package include a Shelby fiberglass hood, unique 20-inch wheels, Shelby and Super Snake badging and special interior trim including two-tone leather seats. A wide-body kit will also be offered as an option. Further enhancements include a custom cooling package, Borla exhaust system, Wilwood brakes, and front brake cooling ducts.

Not including the Shelby GT500 donor car, pricing starts at $28,995 for base models, and $39,995 for the high-performance variant. Production will be limited to 500 units and is expected to sell out fast. For complete details and to place an order head to Shelby American.
