One of the very best of the best high-performance tuning firms, Shelby American has just announced details for new widebody kits for 2005-2009 model-year Mustangs. This is the same widebody package that was first shown on the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. For a price starting at $3,399 for the rear quarter panels-only package, Mustangs can now receive an additional 6 inches of fender in order to handle the 13-inch-wide rear wheels.

The complete package ($5,999) includes the former as well as front quarter panels that allow for 10-inch-wide front wheels. Both packages come with a Shelby Billet Fuel Door, installation instructions with the required hardware and special tools. Neither package includes the cost of wheels and tires and Shelby American recommends for them to be installed by a professional body shop due to the extensive body and paint work required in their installation. Sometime this summer Shelby American will debut the same packages only for MY 2010-2014 Mustangs as well.
