Carroll Shelby’s own widebody GT 350 Convertible will be sold at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction next weekend.
Historically, every serial #1 Shelby went to Carroll Selby’s personal collection, and when the Shelby GT350 convertible was built for 2012, the Big Guy requested the new wide body option be added. That car could now be yours, as the very first GT350 ever made will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas next weekend. The blue with white stripes muscle car comes with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 rated at 624 hp, massive Shelby brakes, and a Borla center-exit exhaust system.
It also sports a massaged suspension, beefy 345 mm rear tires, and upgraded leather interior. 0-60 mph in the Shelby GT350 has been clocked at 3.7 seconds. As the first 2012 GT350 to roll off the production line during Shelby’s anniversary year and the fact that production of the Shelby GT350 will end at the turn of 2014, lot number 750 at the Barrett-Jackson auction is expected to fetch a pretty penny when it crosses the block on Saturday September 28.
