Shelby thought it would only build 100 examples of its modified Ford Raptor, but surging demand could see it significantly expand production.
You can’t keep a good truck down. That’s what Shelby American found after unveiling its modified Ford F-150 SVT Raptor in New York last month. Shelby said it would only make 100 examples of the 575-horsepower supercharged super-truck, each with an $18k sticker price over stock. But growing demand could see the legendary Ford tuner increase production to 500 each year. That may not be good news to customers who ordered a Shelby Raptor thinking it would remain rare, but will come as a welcome development for those still hoping to snag one.
