Simon Cowell is an incredibly notorious figure in the music and entertainment industry. He started out working in the mailroom at EMI and worked his way into becoming a record producer and global TV talent show producer and personality with the Idol and X-Factor shows. Listed by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, TV Guide also named him at number 10 in a list of 60 Nastiest Villains of All Time.

Whatever you think of him, though, the man has taste when it comes to cars. He's mostly seen in the back of a Mercedes S-Class, but amongst his personal collection is this Bentley Azure and classic Ford Bronco.

The two vehicles are making the news as they will both be rolling across the block at the 49th Annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction event in January. Both cars are rare and desirable, but the 2009 Bentley Azure convertible is the rarer of the two. Only 716 Azures were built from 2006 to 2009. Cowell likes black, and both cars are heavy with it. The Azure is deep black paint over black leather seats with black wool carpeting, all of which contrasts with the chromed 20-inch wheels. Powering the two and a half tons of luxury and refinement is a hand-built 450-horsepower 6.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine giving 645 ft-lb of torque to get that weight moving quickly.

While the Bentley is pure from the factory, the 1977 Ford Bronco is a restomod kitted out with a Ford Racing 302ci V8 crate engine making 340 hp with the aid of a Holley Avenger 4-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, electric distributor, and ceramic headers at the head of a custom 2.5-inch MagnaFlow exhaust system. No expense has been spared on the Bronco, and it's lifted on James Duff springs while stopping power comes from a full set of Wilwood disc brakes. Inside is all custom black leather, including the wrapping of the roll bar.

Both vehicles will be featured at the 2020 Scottsdale Auction with no reserve.
