Sir Stirling Moss Makes All Men Look Bad

City Cars

Sir Stirling Moss recently presented his wife with a birthday present she will for sure enjoy: a racing green Aston Martin Cygnet.

Sir Stirling Moss has made men everywhere look bad and made all of our wives and girlfriends jealous. The international motorsport legend picked out the perfect birthday gift for his wife, Lady Susan Moss, in the form of an Aston Martin Cygnet city car. "My greatest partner in everything that I do, Susie is an amazing person and frankly the best wife a man could have... [the car is] a proper little piece of British luxury and perfect for our life in town," says Moss.

He presented the car to his wife at a private dinner held in her honor at the Royal Automobile Club clubhouse at the century old 'palace on Pall Mall' in London. The Racing Green Cygnet was displayed in the central rotunda and features a hand crafted Obsidian Black leather interior finish with coarse silver stitching giving off a beautiful contrast. Sir Stirling Moss' relationship with Aston Martin goes back to his days as a driver, racing many of the company's cars including the famed DB3S and DBR1 models. He won the World Sportscar Championship in 1959 with a string of victories in the DBR1 including the 24-Hours at Le Mans.

The Cygnet was the culmination of six months of secret correspondence between Sir Stirling and Aston Martin. Hand-crafted at Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon, England, the vehicle took 150 hours to complete. The Aston Martin Cygnet was launched in May 2011 and the first cars are currently arriving at European dealers.
