The Rolls-Royce Series II models made its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and the British company has arrived to this year's Beijing Motor Show with their extended wheelbase variant of the Phantom. China is the largest market in the world for EWB models and Rolls hopes to capitalize with their ultra-luxurious Phantom EWB. The Extended Wheelbase Phantom Series II features redesigned front and rear bumpers with rectangular light apertures and LED daytime running lights.

"I am proud to present our new benchmark of automotive luxury in China. No other luxury product comes close to Phantom Extended Wheelbase in staging an object of exquisite beauty, effortless opulence and grand theatre. I am delighted that our discerning Chinese clients continue to value Phantom Extended Wheelbase so highly. And with the changes for Series II I am confident that it will continue to retain its position at the very pinnacle of the ultra-luxury goods marketplace for many years to come," said Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The interior packs some modern tech, including an 8.8-inch smart-screen.

The system comes with satnav, 3D maps and guided tours along with composite route planning. The Chinese market has a large demand for more fuel-efficient and greener cars, as pollution has long been a problem affecting some of the Far Eastern countries biggest cities. The EWB Phantom II features a more efficient 8-speed automatic transmission paired to its V12 engine. The new gearbox not only 'enhances already exemplary driving dynamics' but also cuts fuel consumption by 10 percent. It returns 349g/km CO2, down from 388g/km.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II EWB takes 60 pairs of hands more than 450 hours to design, construct and craft each unit. The new model is currently on display at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.
