Volkswagen's Skoda auto company has unveiled the all-new Fabia R2 to the public. This popular R2 rally car is based on the series production Fabia and features some new changes to the engine, chassis, suspension and gearbox. The R2's rally-tuned suspension and modified chassis allow the vehicle to handle rally-like driving conditions, while the engine is a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter gas that can develop 132-horses.

The engine is mated to a five-speed sequentially operated gearbox made by Sadev and Italian specialist Magneti-Marelli. The Fabia R2 was initially developed, tested and prepared for rallies for almost two years. More recently, the Fabia R2 has received the FIA homologation and can participate in rallies. The price to own a Fabia like this is at about $86,200.
