Skoda's plan to debut six new cars in 2013 is progressing nicely. Having revealed the new Rapid, Octavia sedan and Octavia Combi, the next on the list will be the high-performance variant. Skoda plans to reveal the 2013 Octavia RS (known as the vRS in the UK) at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in mid-July, and these spy shots of a barely-camouflaged prototype give us a good idea of what to expect of the car. The camo is hiding the air intakes, both sides of the front bumper where LED DLRs will feature, and the LED foglights.

Those lights on the lower bumper of this prototype are simply stickers. Tinted headlights, a trunk-mounted spoiler, gloss-black accents and twin trapezoidal exhaust pipes give the RS a more aggressive look, while power will come from the VW Golf GTi's 2.0-liter TFSI turbo four rated at 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, which will be sent to the front wheels via a six speed manual or DSG twin-clutch transmission.
