Skoda's not about to sit out the Worthersee show this year, joining its sister brands Volkswagen, Seat and Audi in presenting its own new performance-oriented concept at the GTI-Treffen in Austria. The Skoda Rapid Sport is most readily identified by its two-tone red and silver paint scheme, but also features 19-inch alloys, a full aero kit (with spoilers, side sills and more aggressive bumpers fore and aft), dual exhaust pipes and an upgraded interior with Recaro seats and a sportier steering wheel.

The Rapid Sport is one of five vehicles which Skoda is displaying at the gathering of the faithful, joined by an Octavia Combi with a sports package, motorsports-oriented versions of the Citigo and Fabia RS and the Fabia S2000 rally car. Also on display are the Audi TT Ultra Quattro concept, the Seat Leon Cup racer, the Volkswagen Design Vision GTI track car and the Amarok R-Style concept from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, which we'll have for you shortly.
